With this post, we officially launch our blog. It’s been a slow process, lengthened by the ongoing addition of our favorite plant-based recipes, which we hope you will take advantage of and enjoy. We are excited! It’s a big step that will lead to regular communications and updates. The whole purpose is to support our grassroots effort. Support empowers change and helps maintain focus. Communication and connections build confidence and a sense of community. People need to engage with each other to share common goals, lifestyle, and concerns.
Free Monthly Support Meetings.
We are also launching our monthly support get-together called NPCS Meetings (Nutrition from Plants, Change and Support). I went back and forth with the “C” standing for cooking, but ultimately concluded that change is the essence of our mission and perhaps yours.
I believe that change is our’s for the making every single day. The food we eat is the key, starting with taking control of our health, then moving into values like compassion, caring, and giving animals a voice. Our food system is badly broken. It will only change if we can reach the tipping point where momentum ultimately takes over, driving the market; every purchase and every meal is ultimately a vote.
What You Eat Has A Powerful Ripple Effect.
Our food system was created in a time when we had little voice. The internet has changed that, and collectively, we now have a voice when it comes to plant nutrition over the Standard American Diet. We now know better. However, we still lack a unified purpose. If there is any self-motivator to contribute to change, it’s likely to be health.
The health system is driven by cost, which is forcing us to take charge of our health; after all, no one else will. People are learning that what they eat defines their health. We are here to help them learn about healthy choices that create a positive ripple effect, such as adopting an animal-free food system and increasing the use of land to grow a wider, more nutritious selection of foods without cholesterol or saturated fats. If you would like to stay in touch, please sign up to receive news and updates.
“Support Empowers Change.”
Providing individuals with the necessary resources and encouragement enables them to better embrace and drive positive transformation. This support can take many forms, from providing training and resources to fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration, ultimately leading to more successful and sustainable changes.
Also, please send your favorite plant-based recipes. I would love to try them and add them to the site to share with others.
